FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present inventions relate to polycistronic expression in gram-positive bacteria and pertain to a lactic acid bacterium for expressing one or more exogenous genes, a pharmaceutical composition containing such a lactic acid bacterium, a nucleic acid, and a vector. Proposed is a lactic acid bacterium containing a unit of polycistronic expression. Said unit of polycistronic expression therein comprises, in the direction from 5' to 3': (i) an endogenous promoter constituting an eno promoter (Peno), an usp45 promoter (Pusp45), or a gap B promoter (PgapB); (ii) an endogenous gene; and (iii) one or several exogenous genes located 3' in relation to said endogenous gene. The above endogenous gene and one or several exogenous genes are therein transcriptionally bound to at least one endogenous intergenic site.
EFFECT: inventions provide high levels of expression of exogenous genes in gram-positive bacteria.
