SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and microbiology and is a lactic acid bacterium (LAB) characterized by increased retention of intracellular trehalose, while in the specified LAB both ptcC and trePP were partially or completely deleted, damaged or inactivated, and where in the specified LAB one is constitutively overexpressed or more genes encoding a trehalose transporter having an amino acid sequence that is at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO: 10 or 12. The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of allergies, diabetes or celiac disease, containing a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient and a LAB according to the invention.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to effectively treat allergies, diabetes or celiac disease.
