FIELD: developers.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a developer supply container removably mounted to a developer receiving apparatus and a developer supply system. The developer supply container is detachably mounted in a developer receiving device including a developer receiving section provided with a developer receiving opening and a portion 11b to be engaged and movable integrally with the developer receiving section. The developer supply container includes a discharge section provided with an opening of a developer discharge shutter located in the developer accommodating section and an engaging portion 30. The engaging portion 30 engages with a portion 11b to be engaged in a developer supply container mounting operation, displacing the developer receiving section so to bring the inlet in fluid communication with the valve orifice. The engaging portion 30 includes a folded portion 3b at an angle with respect to the mounting direction of the developer supply container, the angle decreasing toward the upstream side in the mounting direction.

EFFECT: providing a structure capable of reducing the working force (effective force) for the installation of the reservoir for supplying the developer.
