FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, in particular to radio wave methods for measuring movement of vehicles using Doppler effect for electromagnetic waves. Technical result is achieved due to that device for measuring movement of vehicle comprises series-connected first microwave generator with fixed frequency ƒ1, directed coupler, first circulator and first antenna, radiation of which is directed at an angle α to direction of movement in vertical plane, first mixer and computing unit, wherein main output of directional coupler is connected to first output of first circulator, and its auxiliary output is connected to first input of first mixer, output of which is connected to computing unit, first antenna is connected to second output of first circulator. Additionally, the device comprises a power divider, the input of which is connected to the third output of the first circulator, and the first output – to the second input of the first mixer, second mixer, first input of which is connected to second output of power divider, second microwave generator with fixed frequency ƒ2, a second circulator and a second antenna whose radiation is directed at an angle α to direction of movement in vertical plane, wherein output of generator is connected to first output of second circulator, second antenna is connected to second output of second circulator, and its third output is connected to second input of second mixer, output of which is connected to computer unit, wherein the first and second antennas are located side by side and additionally turned to angles β in horizontal plane on different sides of vehicle axis.

EFFECT: increase in the measurement accuracy.
