FIELD: agriculture; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural production and is used for drying cones of freshly harvested hop directly at the place of their collection. Hop drier comprises three modules: an automated drier, a gas holder and a loading conveyor, along which freshly harvested hop cones move into the drying chamber. Each module is self-contained and is delivered to the drying place separately. After delivery to the site, modules are combined into a single interconnected complex. Dryer consists of two compartments - process and drying. In the drying compartment there are two rotary-rack modules, a hop mass thickness leveller, an intermediate conveyor and an unloading conveyor. Process compartment contains an evaporator, a condenser-compressor, a fan, a heater and a radiator. Whole drying process is automatically controlled. Humidity and temperature of the mass of hop cones, as well as the speed of air movement are automatically controlled by means of sensors and output of information on the display.
EFFECT: use of the invention will make it possible to improve the quality of freshly harvested hop cones.
