FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to sedation device (1, 60). The device contains case (2) with an internal volume of 50 ml. Case (2) contains ventilation chamber (3) and evaporator chamber (4) connected to it, communicating with ventilation chamber (3). The case has filter (5) installed between ventilation chamber (3) and evaporator chamber (4), forming a common gas-permeable separation wall between ventilation chamber (3) and evaporator chamber (4). The case includes ventilation chamber (3) with inlet (7) to connect to artificial lung ventilation device (50). The case contains evaporator chamber (4) with outlet (8) to connect to patient’s breathing pipe (54). The case has evaporator (10) installed in evaporator chamber (4). Inlet (7) is installed on the side of ventilation chamber (3) and is located in such a way that to direct air through surface (16) of filter (5) in ventilation chamber (3). In the device, there is guiding plate (18) installed inside ventilation chamber (3). Guiding plate (18) acts together with inlet (7), and it is located next to it. Guiding plate (18) passes across inlet (7), and it is located at a distance from it. Guiding plate (18) is tilted relatively to inlet (7), and it protrudes away from inlet (7) to direct coming air from inlet (7) inwards from inlet (7) in the direction towards filter (5) and outwards from inlet (7) through surface (16) of filter (5).

EFFECT: prevention of pressure drop, breathing difficulties in a patient, and prevention of unwanted amount of sedative substance.
