FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Aerosol adapter comprises a housing having a proximal end and a distal end. Proximal end has an aerosol passageway for receiving an aerosol obtained by means of an aerosol source containing an aerosolised active substance and the distal end has an outlet. Connecting member for carrier gas is adapted to receive carrier gas from the gas source and communicates with a plurality of carrier gas outlet openings. Plurality of carrier gas outlet openings are located adjacent to the aerosol passageway with an arrangement that provides a partial surrounding of the aerosol flow. Inner cavity has a proximal portion having a conical inner wall that extends outwardly toward the distal end of the housing, and is adapted to receive the aerosol from the aerosol passageway and receiving the carrier gas from a plurality of carrier gas outlet openings and configured for guiding carrier gas streams so that they at least partially surround the aerosol flow and pass parallel to the main direction of the aerosol flow along the length of the housing to the outlet opening. Outlet opening at the distal end of the housing is intended to supply an aerosol to a patient in need of an aerosolised active substance.

EFFECT: versions of an aerosol supply system and a method for obtaining a captured aerosol using an adapter are disclosed.
