FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway transport, namely, to apparatuses for metering the density of a crushed stone base to estimate the uniformity of sealing of a railway track, and can be used during repair and restoration work of a railway track, during expert examination of the quality of conducted work in the course of surveys of the track. The apparatus comprises a stamp with a measuring unit, installed whereon are an elastic element and a hollow metal guiding rack, a striker installed thereon and configured to fall on the elastic element and be lifted, a mechanism for securing and dropping the striker, and an electronic unit for recording and processing the test results coupled with the measuring unit. The measuring unit is secured in the base of the stamp and is equipped with a triaxial accelerometer. The drummer is configured to rotate. The mechanism for securing and dropping the striker is made in the form of a bracket secured hingedly on the guiding rack, covering the striker and coupled therewith by means of a roller mechanism. The roller mechanism is configured for the motion conversion mechanism to be connected thereto through a coupling to rotate the striker, and the electronic unit is equipped with a gyroscope for tracking the verticality of the apparatus.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measurement of ballast density and stability of the results.
