SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the means of receiving, storing and dispensing oil and can be applied in the oil industry. The system for receiving crude oil and separating associated petroleum gas, equipped with a water pumping shut-off device, includes a vertical steel tank, a steam pipe with internal sectional heaters, oil supply and discharge pipelines, a water pumping pipeline, siphon valves, flaps, a multi-stage chute, a gas receiving tank, a roller device, a cable, a load, a measuring ruler, a plate. Additionally, a rod is installed inside the tank, on which a poppet-type load moves vertically along the surface of the water, while the load is connected by a cable through roller devices to an index plate that moves vertically along the measuring ruler, while the measuring ruler in the upper part is additionally equipped with a contact plate. The contact plate is connected via a communication line to a relay that is connected to the pump and the solenoid valve.

EFFECT: possibility of visually determining the water level, followed by simultaneous pumping of oil and water from the tank and separation of associated petroleum gas, while the pump for pumping water is switched off and the solenoid valve is closed when the index and contact plates come into contact; breakdowns in the technological process of receiving crude oil are also minimized and pumping of oil through the pipeline for water removal is prevented.
