FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed device is intended for diagnostics of leaks from bottoms of ground vertical reservoirs containing oil products. Device for diagnosing leaks from bottom of ground vertical reservoirs includes plates from different metals arranged in groups, each of which contains two plates from copper, wherein said groups of plates are installed along diameter of reservoir so that each of them corresponds to certain section of reservoir bottom, device also contains communication lines, electronic switch and computer. In all of said groups of plates in addition to two available copper plates there is a third plate of aluminum or nickel, wherein three said plates in each of groups are laid in soil perpendicular to bottom and parallel to each other. All three plates included in one group are connected via communication lines with electronic commutator terminals. A meter is connected to the electronic switchboard for measurement of soil resistance between copper plates and ground voltages between copper and aluminum or nickel plates; the multimeter is connected to a computer.
EFFECT: disclosed invention is aimed at improvement of accuracy of determining the point of leakage of oil products, as well as ensuring the possibility of leakage even in case of failure of one of plates, which are part of the corresponding group.
