FIELD: lithium products production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of lithium products from lithium-bearing hydromineral raw materials and can be used to obtain commercial lithium products from natural polycomponent lithium-bearing brines at enterprises located in areas with high solar activity and an arid climate and experiencing a shortage of natural sources of fresh water or their complete absence. A method for producing fresh water from aqueous salt solutions includes evaporating water while heating an aqueous salt solution stream to obtain an aqueous salt concentrate stream and a steam stream. A steam stream is removed from the aqueous salt concentrate stream. The water vapor stream is cooled with the transfer of water vapor condensate, which is fresh water, into the stream. A method for producing fresh water from aqueous salt solutions includes evaporating water while heating an aqueous salt solution stream to obtain an aqueous salt concentrate stream and a steam stream. A steam stream is removed from the aqueous salt concentrate stream. The water vapor stream is cooled with the transfer of water vapor condensate, which is fresh water, into the stream. The flow of atmospheric air, which has passed the stage of cooling and condensation of water vapor, is again directed to contact and joint heating with a fresh flow of the initial aqueous salt solution, thus forming a closed circuit with a circulating flow of atmospheric air and flowing movement of the concentrated flow of salt solution.

EFFECT: production of fresh water both from highly mineralized aqueous salt solutions and from slightly mineralized ones without the cost of technogenic thermal energy provided by heating steam or electricity.
