FIELD: welding.
SUBSTANCE: method for connection of molded parts by electromagnetic welding is proposed. A connecting inductor is moved along contact surfaces of molded parts, an electromagnetic field is created in an induction-perceptive component of a molded part(s) for heating of a thermally activated connecting means of the molded part(s) to a temperature higher than a melting temperature of the connecting means. Strength of the electromagnetic field suitable for connection is determined by preliminary movement of a measuring inductor along a contact plane, creation of a relatively weak electromagnetic field for unsignificant heating of the thermally activated connecting means to a measuring temperature, measurement of the field strength created by the measuring inductor in the molded part(s), determination of a divergence between the measured field strength of the measuring inductor and the field strength suitable for connection, and adjustment of the field strength suitable for connection to eliminate the divergence. In addition, a device for the implementation of the method is also proposed.
