SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method of herbicide application during drip irrigation of gardens is characterized by the fact that in spring during soil thawing to depth of 12–15 cm, in the protective strip of a row of trees, on both sides of each tree at distance of 0.5–0.8 m from the stem, wells with diameter of 5–6 cm, with depth of 10–12 cm and containers made of porous water-permeable material are installed in them, in which 8–10 g of a water-soluble herbicide of soil selective action - sodium trichloroacetate is placed, a pipeline with droppers is laid along a row of trees, placing droppers above the containers, after installation is completed, water is supplied to the pipeline and soil is moistened within the radius of action of dropper to 90–95 % HB. Device for implementation of present method.
EFFECT: inventions enable to dissolve and move the herbicide solution into the surrounding container soil with the formation of an underground soil horizon with thickness of 5–10 cm, containing herbicide and damaging sprouts and weed roots at germination stage, at the same time intrasoil distribution of the herbicide provides the possibility of carrying out works in the garden immediately after its application.
