FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in sowing rows of plants separated by irrigated and dry spacings, with formation of compacted sections in the middle of irrigated spacings, in laying pipelines with droppers and watering with water supply from droppers. Compacted sections are made in the form of hollows with width of 10–15 cm and depth of 2–3 cm for the entire length of the row spacing with side layers to rows of a small-seeded crop, carried out through a distance corresponding to the value of capillary transfer of moisture by the soil of the irrigated area to the protective zone of rows of the sown crop. Pipelines with droppers are laid along the bottom of hollows. Device for implementation of the above method comprises a tractor, to the front part of which ends of two beams attached to, joined with each other by crossbar coupled with hydraulic cylinder of tractor hydraulic system. Axle is fixed on opposite ends of beams. On the axle there are rollers with width of 10–15 cm, the number of which depends on the number of irrigated row spacings processed in one pass of the tractor. Edges of rollers have bent inward sides with through slots, through which bolts with nuts are passed, providing connection of roller with brackets of side sealing elements, made in the form of box-shaped bodies with retractable plates with width of 8–10 cm, equipped with retainers.

EFFECT: enabling creation of favorable conditions for uniform soil moistening at sowing depth during call watering by formation of compacted hollows with side layers to rows of small-seeded crops in irrigated spacings.
