SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical distribution networks operating at low or medium voltage, in particular to a method of configuring (setting) an electronic relay, made with possibility of providing repeated connection of the first energized electric circuit (for example, microgrid) with the second energized electric circuit (for example, power supply network) after their previous disconnection. Summary: providing a graphical user interface on a computer display, which contains graphical resources on said graphical user interface to assist the user in entering first configuration values for configuring first operating parameters. First operating parameters are processed by means of an electronic relay to provide synchronous reclosing functions. Second graphic resources are provided on the graphic user interface to assist the user in entering second values. It is checked whether the electronic relay meets the minimum requirements for operation. If the electronic relay complies with the specified minimum performance requirements, configuration information containing at least said first and second configuration values is transmitted to said electronic relay.

EFFECT: disclosed is a computer-executable method of configuring an electronic relay.
