FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of thermo-friction cutting with a disc saw heated to temperature of 1150–1250 °C from pipe rolling from austenitic chromium-nickel steels and can be used, for example, in pipe rolling production. Method for thermo-friction cutting with a disc saw heated to temperature of 1150–1250 °C from a pipe with diameter of 40–120 mm from austenitic chromium-nickel steel, includes separation of a heated steel pipe by a disc saw for thermal friction cutting from low-alloy steel, containing all-metal body with wedge-shaped cutting teeth located along contour, each of which has a front negative angle equal to -35 degrees, an angle between the side surfaces of the tooth equal to 70 degrees, a positive rear angle α, as well as side angle of saw tooth bevel ϕ. Heat-friction cutting of heated pipe from austenitic chromium-nickel steel with diameter of 40 mm is carried out using a disc saw with the same sharpening angles of each tooth α and ϕ equal to 16 degrees, for large diameters of cut steel pipes from the proposed range, the clearance angle is determined by the formula α=αo-kΔD, and side angle of saw tooth ϕ - by formula ϕ=ϕo-kΔD, where αoo = 16 degrees, coefficient k1 = 0.05 degrees/mm, k2 = 0.025 degrees/mm, ΔD is increase in the diameter of the cut pipe in mm compared to the diameter equal to 40 mm, while providing the saw feed equal to 7.5–16.5 mcm/tooth and its feed rate within range of 0.06–0.12 m/s.

EFFECT: improvement of quality of surface of ends of workpieces after cutting and increase in durability of disc saws.
