SUBSTANCE: invention relates to feed production, namely to a method for obtaining feed additive for farm animals and birds based on dry extracts of medicinal plants. The method for obtaining feed additive for farm animals and birds based on plant extracts is as follows. Dry leaves of dioecious nettle, or creeping thyme, or echinacea purpurea are pre-crushed, two-stage extraction is carried out in a vacuum cavitation mode, using a 70% water-ethanol solution as an extractant, at an extractant temperature of 35-45°C and an extraction module of 1 kg ÷ 7 l for 50 min, the third stage of extraction is carried out with tap water filtered on an osmotic plant at a temperature of 50°C with an extraction module of 1 kg ÷ 4 l for 20 min, extracts are filtered, combined and concentrated, the thick extract is dried in a vacuum contact-infrared chamber to the final product humidity of no more than 5%.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain feed additive with high content of oxycoric acids for farm animals and birds.
