SUBSTANCE: methods for obtaining a dry Echinacea purpurea extract for a fodder additive for farm animals and poultry are characterized by that the raw material is ground using a shredder to particles with size of 5 mm and wetted in a water-ethanol solution in a hermetically sealed container, then transferred into an extractor, poured with a water-ethanol solution, heated and at first step is carried out extraction under vacuum, after which the extract is poured, and the mass is repeatedly poured with a water-ethanol solution, heated and subjected to vacuum extraction, after which the extract is drained, the obtained mass is poured with distilled water at the third stage and extraction is performed, after which the extract is also drained, the obtained extracts are combined and concentrated in a vacuum, and the thick extract is dried until dry.
EFFECT: inventions allow optimizing modes of water-ethanol extraction and drying, reducing consumption of reagents and duration of the process, increasing output and quality of the end product.
