FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, particularly to plant growing. Method involves the use of hydrothermal nanosilica in treatment. Before sowing, tomato seeds are soaked for 2 hours in aqueous sol of hydrothermal nanosilica with its concentration in working solutions in range of 0.0005–0.1 %. Sprouting of seeds is carried out at room temperature of 22 °C with maintenance of their moistening with water.
EFFECT: method provides broader capabilities of using aqueous sols of nanosilica of hydrothermal origin for tomatoes with increased germination energy, germination capacity, activation of growth, productivity with implementation of technologies for production of sprouted seeds for biotechnologies for production of sprouts for healthy nutrition, as pre-sowing treatment of seeds for greenhouses and open ground, as well as for selection with production of new highly productive varieties, responsive to nanosized silica.
