SUBSTANCE: present application discloses a composite catalyst, a method of producing said catalyst and a method of producing ethylene. Described is a composite catalyst for producing ethylene, containing a zirconium-based oxide and a modified acidic zeolite, wherein the weight content of the zirconium-based oxide is in range of 10 wt. % to 90 wt. % and weight content of modified acidic zeolite is in range of 10 wt. % to 90 wt. %, wherein the modified acidic zeolite pre-adsorbs the organic base; wherein zirconium-based oxide is at least one compound, selected from compounds of chemical formula represented by formula (I): XaMb(ZrO2)1−a−b Formula (I), wherein in formula (I) X is an oxide of at least one element selected from Si, Al, Ti, Ce and La; Μ is an oxide of at least one element selected from Cu, Ag, Ζn, Μn, Y, Nb, Ga, In and Cr; a is in range of 0.02 to 0.9 and b is in range of 0.0 to 0.8; wherein the acidic zeolite is at least one zeolite selected from a zeolite with a MOR structure, a zeolite with a FER structure, eutectic zeolite containing MOR structure and FER structure, and mixed crystalline zeolite containing MOR structure and FER, zeolite with MOR structure is H-MOR zeolite with ratio of Si/Al framework atoms in range from 4 to 60; and the zeolite with the FER structure is an H-ZSM-35 zeolite with a Si/Al ratio in range of 5 to 50; wherein the organic base is at least one base selected from trimethylamine, diethylamine, triethylamine, pyridazine, pyrimidine, pyrazine, pyridine, imidazole, N-methylimidazole, N-ethylimidazole, N-propylimidazole and N-isopropylimidazole.
EFFECT: high selectivity with respect to ethylene reaches a level of up to 86 %.
