FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a system for monitoring cable, pipe or rope penetrations with a plurality of elements combined into a sealed assembly. Control unit in each penetration detects whether the assembly of cables, pipes or ropes is leakproof or at least potentially leaky, and sends information to central monitoring unit via communication network. Based on the received information, the state of a specific penetration is recorded: (GREEN), when the received first information indicates that the assembly is tight, (RED), when the first information indicates that the assembly is potentially leaky. If during the (RED) condition, the central unit receives the second information indicating that the assembly of cables, pipes or ropes in the penetration is tight, then the recorded state of the specific penetration changes to the state (YELLOW), which indicates that the sealing of the assembly of cables, pipes or ropes in a specific penetration has been restored, but requires verification by an authorized user.

EFFECT: proposed is timely detection of change of states of cable penetrations for detection of potentially leaky assembly of cables.
