SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology. Disclosed is a method of processing insect larvae, comprising anaesthesia of insect larvae by cooling in cold water, followed by destruction of the nervous system of insects by cutting into at least 5 parts; and a system for implementing the disclosed method, comprising means for storing and cooling insect larvae in cold water before processing and means for cutting them.
EFFECT: inventions provide processing of insect larvae with minimum stress for them.
