SUBSTANCE: method for preparing powder from coleopteran insects, which involves the stage of processing the larvae of coleopteran insects, including the slaughter of these larvae by heat treatment by placing the larvae in water at a temperature 50 to 120°C for a slaughter time of 30 seconds to 10 minutes, a dehydration step by heating these larvae, during which the slaughtered larvae are placed in an environment with a temperature 50 to 150°C for a treatment period of 1 to 24 hours until the water content of the larvae is 2 to 15% and the water activity is less than 0.7, grinding the larvae after dehydration to obtain a powder from coleopteran insects, the subsequent stage of processing the resulting powder with UV radiation, in which at least one radiation source emits UV-B radiation and/or UV-A radiation, wherein at least one UV radiation source having a radiation power 13 to 125 W is located at a distance of 1 to 100 centimeters from the larvae of coleopteran insects, UV treatment radiation is carried out for 10 to 24 hours or a total of 24 hours; during all or part of the radiation treatment stage, the processed larvae of coleopteran insects are placed in an environment having a constant temperature 20 to 30°C and a constant humidity regime with a relative humidity 30 to 70% and the use of coleopteran insect powder prepared by implementing the preparation method for human nutrition and animal nutrition, and is also used as a dietary supplement.
EFFECT: increasing the content of Vitamin D3 in coleopteran insect powder.
