FIELD: chemicals production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for the production of chemicals for the treatment of drilling fluids used in the drilling of horizontal bores of oil and gas wells. A method for producing a reagent for treating a drilling fluid includes heating a mixture of vegetable gum, sodium sulfite and lignosulfonate to a temperature of 60-85°C and stirring the reaction mixture for about 1 hour, followed by rapid cooling and precipitation of the resulting sediment with ethyl alcohol. The components are taken at the following ratio, wt.%: vegetable gum 1.5-3.0; sodium sulfite 7.0-10.0; lignosulfonate 70-80; ethyl alcohol up to 100.
EFFECT: enhancement of pseudoplastic and inhibiting properties of drilling fluids.
