FIELD: oil, gas and coke-chemical industries.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry, namely, to production of chemical agents for treatment of drilling mud. Method of producing a lignosulphonate reagent for treating a drilling mud, comprising heating while stirring lignosulphonate, formalin, condensation of lignosulphonate with formalin followed by neutralization of the mixture with a caustic soda, characterized in that preliminarily lignosulphonate is mixed with etidronic acid in amount of 10 % of the weight of lignosulphonate in terms of the monohydrate, mixture is stirred, heated to 60-70 °C, adding 3 % formalin in amount of 2.4 % of weight of lignosulphonate in terms of anhydrous formaldehyde.

EFFECT: technical result is intensified effect of lignosulphonate reagent on filtration and structural-mechanical properties of clay solutions.
