INCENDIARY FRAGMENTATION AMMUNITION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC F42B12/20 F42B12/44

Abstract RU 2768210 C1

FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weapons, namely to incendiary fragmentation ammunition. Incendiary fragmentation ammunition consists of a body, a central explosive charge of an explosive and combustible equipment located in the body. Along and around the central bursting charge in the form of groups in the housing there are ready incendiary segments of a spherical shape, which are made with their own fuses and bursting charges located inside the finished segments and equipped with fragmentation elements. Combustible equipment is located in free space between them. Shell of finished incendiary segments is made of combustible material withstanding high deformations. On the surface of the shell there are through holes and gases formed when the explosive charge is detonated, having the possibility, flowing through these holes, to throw a segment from the surface, providing more effective hitting of the target with fragmentation elements. Axes in groups of finished incendiary elements are shifted relative to each other by 90 degrees.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of incendiary and fragmentation action of ammunition.
