FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to thermally activated chemical current sources (TACCS), and can be used as a power source for both controls and for active power supply of power electrical units. The element contains a disk of a cathode half-cell with an active component of halides, transition metal oxides or mixtures thereof, placed in a metal mesh shell, a lithium-containing anode half-cell, and an electrolyte.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the discharge voltage on the TACCS element with a decrease in the amount of cathode mass, which increases the specific electrical and capacitive characteristics of the TACCS element.
