FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rechargeable electrochemical elements. An electrochemical element has an electrolyte based on SO2 solvent. Cathode (2) includes one or more elementary transition metals and/or one or more partially oxidized transition metals. Electrolyte (3) based on SO2 solvent includes an additive of halogenide-containing salt as an additive forming an intermediate layer of solid electrolyte (ILSE). Anode current collector (5) includes metal covered with carbon, an alloy of two or more metals, or an alloy of two or more metals, covered with carbon. The electrochemical element includes excessive undissolved/solid halogenide of alkaline metals. These components, structures, and the element are used in an energy accumulation device.
EFFECT: high specific energy.
