SUBSTANCE: method of data rate matching, performed by a data rate matching device in a wireless communication network, comprises: obtaining a polar coded bit sequence having a code length N, in which the polar encoded bit sequence contains g groups, the length of each group is equal to N/g, where g is equal to 32, N is an integer of degree 2 and N is greater than or equal to 32; block interleaving of g groups based on inter-group interleaving to obtain an interleaved bit sequence, in which the interleaved bit sequence contains g elements of the bit groups, the g groups are ordered in the interleaved bit sequence in accordance with the sequence S, each element in the sequence S indicates a group number after block interleaving; and speed matching of interleaved bit sequence to obtain M bits, in which M is a positive integer.

EFFECT: high efficiency of the polar code, which is ensured by dividing encoded bits into g groups, thereby simplifying rate matching based on puncturing/shortening groups.
