METHOD FOR RECULTIVATION OF DISTURBED LANDS FROM TOXICANTS AND REDUCTION OF GREENHOUSE GASES IN ATMOSPHERIC AIR BY CULTURAL PLANTINGS OF WOODY PLANTS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC B09C1/08 C09K17/00 A01G17/00

Abstract RU 2768277 C1

FIELD: nature protection.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environment protection, in particular to applied ecology, dealing with the problem of cleaning soils, soils and territories contaminated with heterogeneous toxicants. In the method, the identification of toxicants in recultivated disturbed lands is carried out annually at the beginning of the growing season of plants. During periodic chemical reclamation, toxicants are converted into a soluble form by regulating the water regime and maintaining the soil pH reaction within the range. Seedlings of fruit seed crops are used as woody plants. At the end of each growing season, fallen leaves are collected and removed from the territory of recultivated disturbed lands. As woody plants, seedlings are used, the rootstock of which is grown from seeds of fruit seed crops growing wild in the area of disturbed lands, and as a graft, folk varieties are used, which are distinguished by high survival rate on seed rootstocks and relative resistance to diseases. As fruit seed crops, plants of at least one genus are used, selected from a group including the apple, pear, mountain ash. For toxicants having a water-soluble form, chemical reclamation is carried out by maintaining a neutral soil reaction in the pH range from 5.5 to 7.5 and regulating the water regime. For toxicants having an acid-soluble form, chemical reclamation is carried out by acidifying the soil to a pH of 4.5 to 5.5 and regulating the water regime. Acidification of soils is carried out by adding a solution of iron (II) sulfate to the soil in an amount not exceeding 500 kg/ha per pH unit. For toxicants having an alkali-soluble form, chemical reclamation is carried out by plastering the soil to a pH of 7.5 to 9 and regulating the water regime.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to consistently reduce the concentration of toxicants that pass into a soluble form at different soil acidity, contributes to the production of environmentally safe products, as well as to the reduction of greenhouse gases in the atmospheric air by cultivated stands of woody plants.
