SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of environmental protection, in particular to applied ecology, dealing with the problem of cleaning soils, soils and territories contaminated with lead and zinc, and can find application in recultivation of dumps of the enterprises extracting and processing metallurgical raw materials and energy carriers, other minerals, as well as locally contaminated areas exposed to anthropogenic emissions containing lead and zinc. Method for preparing heavy metal polluted soil for phytoremediation involves landing on soil contaminated with heavy metals of at least one species of wood meliorant plants, selected from the group, including arboreal cotoneaster, homemade apple, five-tympanic willow, willow brittle, broad-leaved linden, walnut, manchurian walnut, common pine, small-leaved linden, gray nut, elderberry-like bush.

EFFECT: use of the present invention allows for intensive soil purification.
