SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of agriculture. The open top plant growing tray contains at least one space (2) for water formed by a double edge (1) and closed from above, while the space (2) for water is open at the bottom of the tray. The tray opened from above contains at least one separate space (2) for water, formed partially by a double bottom and connected to the bottom of the tray through a gap (3) near the bottom. The open top tray contains a space bounded by two side walls (12) and a bottom wall (10) and divided into through compartments by at least one separating wall (18). The separating wall (18) contains at least one space (2) for water formed by a double wall and open at the bottom of the tray. Methods for growing plants in trays open from above are described.
EFFECT: inventions ensure uniformity of watering and sufficient supply of nutrients.
