FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method for reducing the degree of contamination of a substrate with endospores or sporogenic microorganisms, involving reacting the substrate with a composition containing a supercarboxylic acid and hydrogen peroxide in ratio of 1.2 to 30.0 wt. %, with a redox potential (ORP) of 500 to 1000 mVV in the absence of a peroxide decomposing enzyme for a period of time sufficient to reduce the degree of contamination.
EFFECT: invention widens the range of methods for performing sporicidal treatment of a substrate by using continuous monitoring of redox potential.
