FIELD: traffic control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation and telemechanics for interval control of train movement with transmission of information on target speed throughout the train route. In the method, the length of each coordinate section is selected to be smaller than the length of the braking path of the train. For each coordinate segment: determining the total length of the free from variable obstacles in the form of rolling stock and/or fracture in one point of one rail of the ahead coordinate sections and determining the target speed as the highest speed, at which the total length of the coordinate sections lying ahead in the direction of movement to the nearest occupied coordinate section is the length of all three braking paths of the train at service, full service and auto-stop braking. For each of the trains, its actual speed and mode of movement are determined: traction, coasting or braking. For each train, depending on the ratio of its actual speed and the target speed for the coordinate section, within the boundaries of which its head is located, the actual speed and mode of movement of the ahead train is determined, data on recommended driving mode — traction, coasting or braking — is transmitted to onboard hardware, receive and display using it.
EFFECT: exclusion of cases of unreasonable braking as a result of approaching an obstacle and subsequent acceleration of the train is achieved.
