FIELD: electrical power engineering. SUBSTANCE: control range of voltage regulation under load of autotransformers is used to control excitation of line transformers for deep change of voltage in high-voltage power line conducted in function of parameters of its load. In this case line is connected to one of extreme branchings (maximum or minimum) of regulating windings of autotransformers. Change of excitation is conducted by switching over of branchings of regulating winding of transformers under load. Control range of regulation under load is used twice in process of change of transformation ratio of autotransformer and in process of regulation of excitation of line transformers. It enables deep regulation of voltage in high-voltage power line to be performed which is necessary under sufficient change of its load.
