FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to recovery of internal combustion engines and can be used at railway, motor transport and car repair enterprises. Method involves using a metal-cladding composition consisting of a concentration of fine tin bronze powder of 3 wt. % of the amount of engine oil in an engine. First, the coarse oil filters are washed and the filter elements of the fine oil filter are removed, then the engine is started and heated to operating temperature, thereafter, metal-cladding composition is poured through filler neck into engine crankcase in amount of 1.5 wt. % of total amount of engine oil. It operates at minimum crankshaft rpm for one hour, after which, without shutting down the engine, another 1.5 wt. % of metal-clad composition of the total amount of oil in the engine is poured into the crankcase and running-in at crankshaft rpm.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase MTBR of friction pairs in engines by at least 2–5 times, to reduce operating fuel consumption from 6 to 15 % and dynamic loads in parts of cylinder-piston group, to restore geometrical parameters of friction pairs.
