SUBSTANCE: present invention generally relates to packaged valve assemblies for controlling fluid medium flow, having increased effective flow area. Disclosed are two versions of valve assembly (100, 200) and a method of arranging valve modules (170, 270) in valve assembly (100, 200), wherein the method comprises steps of: arranging a plurality of first valve modules (170, 270) at first level (130, 230) inside said valve assembly (100, 200) such that first seating end surface (171, 271) of each of said plurality of first valve modules (170, 270) is substantially coplanar to first plane (135, 235), which is substantially parallel to seating surface (125, 225) of said valve assembly (100, 200); and location of multiple second valve modules (170, 270) inside said valve assembly (100, 200) so that second seating end surface (171, 271) of each of said second valve modules (170, 270) is coplanar to second plane (155, 255), which is substantially parallel to said first plane (135, 235), wherein said second plane (155, 255) is displaced from said first plane (135, 235) by first distance (151, 251).
EFFECT: disclosed is a stacked valve assembly.
