FIELD: metallurgical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of continuous extraction of metals from sulfur-containing ores. Metals are reduced; iron and sodium carbonate are used as flux. Sodium sulphide from slag is selectively dissolved in water and the residue is separated by filtration to obtain a solid residue of iron oxide and a filtered solution of sodium sulphide. Sodium carbonate is recovered for reuse by mixing filtered sodium sulphide solution with supersaturated sodium carbonate solution. Gaseous hydrogen sulphide is removed and sulfur is obtained by trapping and feeding these gaseous emissions into a gas-solid reactor, where hydrogen sulphide reacts with iron hydroxide to form iron sulphide and water. Iron oxide is sintered by preliminary agglomeration, subsequent heating of the solid residue obtained by filtration at temperature of 1,100°C to 1,300°C and subsequent sintering to obtain iron oxide granules.
EFFECT: methods make it possible to improve the process of direct reduction, reduce environmental pollution.
