FIELD: measurement and test equipment.

SUBSTANCE: device for emulating an antenna which supports channel calibration relates to measurement and test equipment which is designed to emulate operation of multi-element antenna systems. Device for emulating an antenna supporting channel calibration, characterized by that it comprises: two main connectors, which are inputs of the device, emulating the main input connectors of the antenna system and intended for connection to the main output interfaces of the communication system transceiver; two units for changing the amplitude, applying an additional phase rotation and applying an additional group delay to the main signals received from the two main connectors, which are the inputs of the device; unit for summation of two main signals after change of amplitude, additional phase rotation and additional group delay for generation of output calibration signal; unit for measuring the ratio of amplitudes, phase difference and mutual group delays between two or more main signals after changing the amplitude, additional phase rotation and additional group delay; calibration connector, which is the output of the device, which emulates the output calibration connector of the antenna system, intended for connection to the input calibration interface of the communication system transceiver and used to transmit the output calibration signal.

EFFECT: enabling use of simpler methods of testing algorithms for calibrating channels to antenna elements of a multi-element antenna, compared to traditional approaches based on measurements of antenna radiation patterns or near field.
