SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to magnetic resonance imaging. Said magnetic resonance imaging system for acquiring magnetic resonance data from an imaging zone instructs the processor controlling the MRI system to acquire magnetic resonance imaging data when the radio frequency excitation of the radio frequency system is enabled; to acquire noise radio frequency data using an RF noise detection coil, while the noise radio frequency data is acquired simultaneously with the imaging magnetic resonance data; to acquire calibration magnetic resonance data when the radio frequency excitation of the radio frequency system is disabled; to acquire reference radio frequency data using an RF noise detection coil, wherein the reference radio frequency data is collected simultaneously with the calibration magnetic resonance data; and to calculate a noise calibration using the radio frequency reference data and the calibration magnetic resonance data.
EFFECT: technical result is improved image quality by an MRI system.
