FIELD: rocket engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of military equipment, namely, to missiles with a cylindrical or conical body, and can be used in development of guided missiles. The body of the instrument unit of a missile is divided into two halves along the plane passing along the longitudinal axis of the missile. The equipment is installed directly in the lower half of the body. After installing the equipment and electrical fitting, the two halves of the body are connected together by fitted bolts or screws and nuts. This provides a possibility of maximising the utilisation of the internal volume of the body of the missile and significantly simplifying the installation of equipment and setting of the onboard cable network without weakening the body of the unit with cutouts or windows.
EFFECT: positive effect of the proposed design consists in using the maximum internal volume for installing the equipment and setting the onboard cable network, significantly reducing the labour intensity of installing equipment and setting the onboard cable network, providing a possibility of replacing pieces of equipment and the cable network at any stage of assembly and inspection of the product without detaching the units, maintaining the load capacity of the body of the unit, comparable with a one-piece unit of the same diameter and with the same thickness of the shell.
