FIELD: ultrasonic testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for ultrasonic non-destructive testing, medical diagnostics, hydroacoustics, pulse acoustic microscopy, thickness measurement, ultrasound velocity measurement. The substance of the invention lies in the fact that the emitting transducer is excited with a short electrical pulse and an acoustic vibration is emitted into the product. Reflections of acoustic vibrations from defects are received by a receiving transducer with an impulse response identical to the emitting transducer, which converts the reflections of acoustic vibrations into an echo pulse. The received echo pulse is converted into the spectrum of the echo pulse, and the amplitude and phase spectra are extracted from it, which are converted, respectively, into the amplitude and phase spectra of reflections from defects. A complex spectrum of reflections from defects is created, from which the signal of reflections of acoustic vibrations from defects is restored, and from it the quality of the product is determined.
EFFECT: increasing the resolution of the acoustic control method.
