SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sports, namely to training devices and methods for training the running abilities of athletes. The effect is achieved due to the fact that the simulator for training running abilities, containing a wheeled frame for movement on the ground, connected by a rigid element with a belt on a person, characterized in that the frame is made in the form of a flat horizontally placed structure, made with the possibility of placing a person inside it and resting on a swivel wheel located in the center of the front beam of the frame in front of the person, and a pair of rear wheels mounted on the longitudinal beams of the frame behind the person, a vertical U-shaped rack is mounted on the frame, connecting the longitudinal beams of the frame, wherein the vertical guides of said rack are made height-adjustable, on the vertical guides one lever is pivotally mounted, the long arm of which is facing the front of the frame, and the short arm is in the opposite direction, the long arms of the levers are mounted to the waist belt on the person, and the short arms levers are connected to shock absorbers, which are mounted with their second ends to the vertical guides of the U-shaped rack, at the same time, the forces on the said shock absorbers are regulated by the height of the levers using adjustable vertical guides of the U-shaped rack, in the front part of the frame there is a console of the simulator, made with the possibility of displaying information for the athlete about the modes and progress of training.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of reducing the athlete’s own weight for the indicators of the athlete’s running speed.
