SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of increasing productivity and/or reducing energy consumption in the process of producing pulp, includes steps for preparing lignocellulose chips, preparation of a refining composition, application of said refining composition on lignocellulose chips and mechanical grinding of lignocellulose chips to form a cellulose mass. Refining composition contains water and a lubricating additive containing a reaction product of sugar and alcohol. Stage of applying the refining composition to lignocellulose chips is carried out less than 5 minutes before or simultaneously with the stage of mechanical grinding of wood chips to form a cellulose mass.
EFFECT: higher productivity and/or power savings in the process of producing pulp.
