FIELD: pharmaceutical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of pharmaceutical chemistry, and it is a method for the treatment of an infection caused by an influenza A or B virus, including the injection to a subject of effective amount of N-carbamimidoyl-5-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-yl)-2-naphthamide or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt. The invention also relates to the use of N-carbamimidoyl-5-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-yl)-2-naphthamide or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt in the production of a drug for the treatment of an infection caused by an influenza A or B virus.
EFFECT: creation of an antiviral drug based on N-carbamimidoyl-5-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-yl)-2-naphthamide (BIT225) for the treatment of an infection caused by an influenza A or B virus resistant to adamantadine.
