SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for manufacturing biodegradable nonwoven fabric and a napkin. A method for manufacturing biodegradable nonwoven fabric, including steps in which a fibrous web is formed from a mixture of fibers containing biodegradable fibers and wood pulp fibers, or a layer of biodegradable fibers is formed with a layer of sanitary and hygienic paper. Next, at least part of the biodegradable fibers are woven together by water-jet treatment of a fibrous web or a fibrous web combined with a layer of sanitary and hygienic paper, and the woven fibrous web is dried. A biodegradable binder is applied to the woven fibrous web before drying the woven fibrous web, a biodegradable agent that gives strength in a wet state is added to the fiber mixture, a biodegradable binder is mixed with a fiber mixture.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the strength, softness and elasticity of non-woven material.
