FIELD: environment protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the protection of the environment, and in particular to a method for preventing the formation of acidic effluents from the dumps of the mining industry. In the claimed method, a deoxidizing agent is used. As a deoxidizing agent, a by-product of soda production is used, consisting of calcite particles, which is applied to the surface of the dump in an amount of at least 5% of the dump volume, and an organic additive in an amount of at least 0.03% of the dump volume, which are alternately applied to dump surface. As an organic additive, a mixture of equal amounts of glucose and sodium acetate is used, which is applied in the form of a solution with a concentration of 0.1% to the surface of the dump after it has been covered with a by-product of soda production.
EFFECT: preventing the formation and spread of acidic effluents from mining dumps.
