FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a one-stage nickel melting system and a one-stage nickel melting method. The system comprises a conveyor apparatus for raw materials for transporting nickel sulphide concentrate, flux, and a first reducing agent, an apparatus for one-stage nickel melting, containing a furnace body, located consecutively wherein are a melting area of the melt bath and the reduction depletion area inside the furnace body and the settling area. The melting area of the melt bath is therein equipped with a first supply hole and a first tuyere connected with the conveyor apparatus for raw materials, and is used for melting the melt bath for nickel sulphide concentrate producing a matte with a high nickel content, containing 35 to 65 wt.% nickel, melting slag, and flue gas, the reduction depletion area is connected with the melting area of the melt bath, equipped with a second supply hole, a second tuyere, and a smoke outlet, and used to conduct the reaction of depletion of the melting slag producing depleted slag and a first metallised nickel matte, wherein the settling area is additionally located within the body of the furnace, the settling area is connected with the reduction depletion zone, located on one side of the reduction depletion area distanced from the melting area of the melt bath, is used for processing the depleted slag by settling, producing a second metallised nickel matte, and additionally has an outlet, the melting area of the melt bath is additionally equipped with a secondary air hole connected with the outlet, and an apparatus for processing flue gas, connected with the smoke outlet.
EFFECT: possibility of reducing the requirements for the supply of raw materials and reduction in power consumption are provided.
