FIELD: furniture industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the furniture industry, in particular to the production of tables, and in particular to the technology for the production of table tops. A method for manufacturing a table top from a base made of wood-containing material and a plate made from a transparent material. Edges are cut from a transparent material with a width not less than the thickness of the base, the sides of the edges are sawn at an angle of 45° or 90°. Then, along with the edge, a pattern is applied to the plate with ultraviolet printing and the resulting pattern is covered with a protective layer. Edges with a pattern are glued around the perimeter of the base, and a plate with a pattern is glued to its upper part. Wherein the edges and the plate are glued in accordance with the pattern depicted on them, so that the image passes from the plate to the edges of the tabletop.
EFFECT: reduction of labor costs and simplification of the production technology of countertops, weight reduction, improvement of the quality and reliability of countertops with high performance properties and an externally monolithic countertop with a 3D pattern.
