FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: options of a method for diagnosing multiple sclerosis (hereinafter – MS) in a subject are proposed. The method includes incubation of a subject sample with protein related to DNA replication (hereinafter – Rep protein), or with anti-Rep antibodies, with subsequent quantitative determination of a forming immunological complex of anti-Rep antibodies with Rep protein. The amount of the specified complex in the subject sample, increased by at least 2 times compared to the amount in a reference sample indicates the presence of MS. In addition, hybridomas are proposed for producing antibodies binding with Rep protein. Antibodies produced by the specified hybridomas are used for the screening analysis of the subject sample for Rep protein.
EFFECT: invention provides for a platform for pathogen-specific diagnostic screening analyzes using Rep protein as an antigen.
